Our Story
SFT originated as a subsidiary of Fluker’s Cricket Farm, Inc. (Fluker's), a third-generation insect farm established in 1956 outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Fluker's is an industry veteran with decades of experience in all aspects of commercial insect farming, including breeding, processing, manufacturing, shipping, sales, and marketing. Fluker's currently employs more than 100 people and has annual sales of in excess of $25 million USD.

A conversation between our CEO, David Fluker, and an LA composter revealed the incredible potential hidden within these insects for waste up-cycling and sustainable protein.
